Description
*Top Tier Asset Manager looking for a contract staff for an initial period of 6 months. There may be scope for this to be extended/made permanent but they will not know until the individual has started and the business understand what projects need to be delivered. They are looking for a senior professionals to be responsible for their finance projects team*
This is an exciting opportunity to join a group focused on development in Hong Kong, having the opportunity to face-off to senior management and gain a strong knowledge of the whole finance function.
The role will be responsible for process re-engineering and the general day-to-day finance function.
Process Re-engineering:
Drive process streamlining and improvement in Finance & Controlling (account closing process, planning cycle process, system set up and maintenance process)
Identify critical business process and its improvement areas
Lead the implementation of finance process improvement projects
Develop and implement the measurement metrics and reporting system for tracking changes and improvement status
Financial Accounting:
Responsible for the overall financial accuracy and timely management analysis for a number of business entities
Monitor and lead team to resolve key issues identified in the month end/year end closing processes, internal/external audits and regulatory inspections
Ensure accuracy and timeliness of group financial, tax and regulatory reporting; monitor the regulatory compliance of all licensed entities
Ensure inter-company reconciliation and settlements are closely managed
Responsible for working with internal and external auditors
Experience:
Total experience must be at least 8 years either in asset management, financial accounting, financial projects or consultancy
Knowledge and direct experience if process re-engineering within finance essential.
Project Management/Accounting Qualification desirable
Ideally the candidate will be immediately available
