This reputable organisation is seeking a talented Web Developer/Network Support to join its IT department for an initial 6 month contract starting ASAP. The successful applicant will responsible for developing, delivering and maintaining robust, high quality web based applications for clients and stakeholders in liaison with other IT professionals. You will also provided infrastructure services within a Windows, Linux and Mac environment.
The successful applicant will be responsible for but not limited to the following;
- Provide web based software development services
- Provide advice and expertise to management regarding the development, enhancement and architecture of their IT infrastructure services.
- Develop and administer complex infrastructure technologies ie; Mac, Windows & Linux server, Storage & Backup, Virtualisation, Web & Database Infrastructure.
- Manage the design and development of web-based projects to be delivered in a timely manner and within specification
- Undertake other software development tasks including applications development and systems analysis
To be suitable for this role you will ideally have:
- At least 3 years experience in web development
- Highly developed skills in PHP and/or ASP
- Demonstrated experience in developing and administering a Microsoft Windows AD Client Server environment (preferably with MCSE qualifications)
- Demonstrated experience Scripting in PowerShell and/or VBS scripts.
- Sound understanding and experience of IT infrastructure, including complex Servers, storage systems, networking, security and Web services
- Demonstrated experience in developing web based applications using technologies such as PHP/ASP and/or Drupal.
This is an opportunity for someone who has experience in languages such as PHP or ASP and looking to expand on possible future opportunities within web development and infrastructure Support. This successful candidate will be offered an initial 6 month contract with the view to be extended or go permanent and receive a rewarding hourly rate.
