Quality Engineer, CONTRACTSurrey
Long Contract, circa 6-12 months ongoing
Circa £23-35 Per Hour
This is an exciting position offering the opportunity to impact on product robustness from initial design stage through to ensuring ongoing optimization of existing products and processes within an electro mechanical design, development and manufacturing organization.
With specific responsibility for the products within the aerospace portfolio your key accountabilities will include:
Driving forward lean initiatives / continuous improvements such as SPC
Working with cross functional teams to ensure quality standards are maintained
Undertaking risk analysis
Working with purchasing on supplier approvals and conducting supplier audits
Utilising your knowledge of lean tools to undertake root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventative actions for parts, sub-assemblies and finished products
Generation of project-related documentation e.g. Quality Plans & Product Acceptance
Internal auditing of Quality Management System (process & compliance)
The ideal candidate will have several years Quality engineering experience gained within an aerospace environment, ideally with knowledge of AS/EN 9100 (ISO 9001: 2000 minimum), including AS/EN 9102 and EASA Part 21 approvals.
