Description
Senior Design Engineer (Mechanical Engineering Design / SPM / Machine Design / Special Purpose Machinery)Based out of the site in Lancashire, I am looking for Senior Design Engineers ideally with 10 years experience, designing Industrial Machines (Steel Rolling, Extrusion etc) or Process Machines (Food / Pharmaceutical).
Possessing a strong 3D Design skill set (preferably on ProEngineer), you should have experience of the full design lifecycle, including project based work, costing, BoM etc as well as Test & Commissioning and specification writing.
Degree or HND qualified, you should be able to design both from customer specification and also from concept and ideally have some knowledge of electrical design for Machinery.
Prior exposure to FEA / Hand Calculation around Bending / Torsional Analysis would also be a distinct advantage for this Senior Design Engineer role.
We are looking for Get up & go candidates, to be able to drive the design team forward. These candidates will need to be very hands on and manage projects from concept to completion; they need to be ambitious, tenacious and hard working.
