Base in Canberra location, working for a federal government agency, our client is currently looking for an experienced Enterprise Architect.

Responsibility:
The Enterprise Architect will work in a team to acquire and document business requirements, including assisting with managing stakeholder expectations, developing project scope and producing detailed design documentation to ensure the successful completion of an assigned project.

Tasks:
* Develop and deliver a data architecture framework for a metadata management capability encompassing a metadata repository.
* Develop and deliver a metadata standard for our client including the identification and delivery of relevant sub-sets for specific information domains.
* Lead discussions, workshops and project meetings with business stakeholders and project team members in the analysis of requirements for a metadata repository and standard.
* Provide direction on interpretation of business requirements and systems/technical documentation for the our client's managed metadata environment and repository
* Work as an effective team member or team leader; share/transfer knowledge and information with the team and help others meet team priorities

Technical skills required:
* Large Datawarehouse literacy experience
* Experience with both Relational and Dimensional Data Models - approaches and advantages
* Knowledge of taxonomy principles and practices
* Knowledge of managed metadata environments and metadata principles
* Experience in open source systems design and integration
* Well developed business process modelling and business analysis skills
* SQL knowledge (Teradata preferred)

* Well developed oral and written communication skills, and an ability to translate complex information into easily understood reports, procedures and discussion papers
* Demonstrated ability to commit to action and work to tight deadlines, manage expectations and priorities and the ability to handle changing priorities and circumstances
* Demonstrated ability to influence, negotiate and mediate with clients and stakeholders.
* Demonstrated ability to use professional expertise and ensure closure and deliver on intended results.
