SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
ESSENTIAL
* Experienced software developer with broad understanding of all aspects of software development
* Experience of agile development processes
* Ability to influence technical discussions and provide technical leadership
* Ability to anticipate problems and take decisive action, giving regard to the impact on other project teams, development partners and stakeholders
* Ideal candidate will have 5+ years' hands on industry experience, ideally working with large data stores
* Very strong experience inJSON, XML, XSD and XSLT
* Very strong experience inxQuery or xPath
* Experience working with NoSQL databases, preferably MarkLogic Server
* Experience in RESTful services
* Experience working with Enterprise Data Stores or in Data Warehousing environments
* Experience working with Enterprise Search
* Experience of Internet Information Services 7
* Experience of Windows Server 2008 R2/2012
* Experience of Red Hat Linux
DESIRABLE
* Experience of .NET Frameworks 4 and 4.5
* Experience in C#
* Experience of Unit Testing and Mocking tools, preferably Test Driven Development
* Experience of Dependency Injection and Inversion of Control.
* Experience in development of educational systems is highly desired
