Senior R&D Engineer

General responsibilities include designing and prototyping implants and instruments.
Additional activities include:

1) generating supporting documents per Design Control for the Design History file, and

2) performing verification/validation testing. The position will also include interaction with the customer (surgeons) as well as employees within other departments.

Specific Responsibilities:

1) supporting one-of-a-kind instruments requests from the customer,

2) supporting current instrument improvements,

3) supporting additional platforms outside of the current joint system, and

4) developing an improved engineering design flow and filing system.
Desired Skills & Experience

5 or more years designing orthopedic or other medical devices.

Spine experience is a plus.

SolidWorks experience is a requirement.

Start-up mentality and cultural fit.

Salary

$100K to $140K depending on experience
