Category Buyer (Procurement) - 3 months - Financial Services - Norwich
Category Buyer - Procurement - Supply - Procurement Resources - Ariba - E-procurement tools - Contract Law - Excel - PowerPoint - Value - Procurement Admin - PMO
On behalf of Hyphens Financial Services client I am looking to recruit a Category Buyer for a period of 3 months based in Norwich.
As a Category Buyer you will be supporting one of the Senior Category Managers for Consultancy by:
(i) Dealing with small-value contracts & NDAs
(ii) Working a lot inside Ariba by undertaking some of the "Procurement admin" such as filling-in governance documents and ensuring that processes are abided by
(iii) Communicate with the Business on contracts that are due to expire
(iv) Undertake some data analysis that has to be Customer- or delivery-orientated, ie analysis that has a direction and allows decision to be made from it
Technical tasks/skills:
(i) Basic experience of E-procurement tools (Ariba preferred)
(ii) Basic experience of contract law
(iii) Able to translate a "wooly" and unclear spec into articulated commercially-viable business requirements
(iv) Project management
Soft skills:
(i) Confident and clear verbal and written communicator
(ii) Ability to create Management Information reports that "tell the story"
(iii) Comfortable with uncertainty and ever-changing unknowns
(iv) Genuinely eager to learn off and from the job to catch-up on Professional Services within Financial Services
MS Office Systems:
(i) Conversant with MS Excel
(ii) Use of MS PowerPoint presentations
