Our client a progressive Midlands based authority is looking for an Interim Service Manager within their Learning Disability Service.

Reporting to the AD this is a crucial role to ensure that practice improvement and service plans are being implemented. The team are part way through some challenging projects. These Projects are focused around determination to move from a traditional day care service to a more personalised approach. (Direct Payments, Community group forums etc)

The LD team is functioning well but the interim will be required to analyse current practice and identify work needed to move to a consistent and good practice across the whole service.

I am looking for a manager with a good mix of operational and strategic capabilities. Considerable experience operating at Service manager level is essential.

The organisation are looking for someone to make an immediate impact and a passion for driving improvement. The role will entail a fair amount of exposure to finance and financial decision making. The successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate a understanding of budgets and finance decision making.
