We are a small design firm in downtown Salt Lake City that has a great time beautiful and effective webstores for our clients. Our work environment is casual and friendly with our own resident DJ spinning tunes all day long. We'd love you to work with us full-time eventually, but you can start as a part-time office visitor as we see if we are a good fit. The perfect candidate needs to know web development and can code but also must have an eye for design (a rare combination, I know). We are growing and have some awesome opportunities in the near future.
What we need is you, if you are a web developer who has broad experience with e-commerce platforms, especially Magento and Volusion. We also create a number of sites with WordPress, so you need to know PHP, javacript and how to use plug-ins and creativity to make those sites shine.
Magento is key. If you FULLY understand store views and the limitations and capabilities with attributes in Magento, come join us! You'll be an integral part of our team if you understand how modular and cool Magento can be. When creating a store, you grasp how to adapt the design to widgets and blocks so when we present to the client, they can easily maintain their store and will sing our praises.
In summary, you are skilled in:
- PHP, MySQL, CSS, AJAX
- Javascript libraries (jQuery / MooTools / Prototype)
- e-commerce experience configuring Magento and Volusion stores
- working closely with designers and ability to accept constructive feedback and quickly adopt design concepts.
- effective verbal and written communications
- Would be nice to have: Experience with Ruby on Rails, Python, Scala, other back-end programming languages, HTML 5
- turning a Photoshop/Illustrator file into a living, breathing website, lickety-split
