My large utility client requires an experienced Resource Planning Manager

The role - Management of a Resource Planning team: To manage, support and engage a team of Resource and Planning analysts in achieving the best utilisation of SME resources to achieve agreed service level by planning plan essential and non-core activities.

Activities:

  • Build, maintain and develop contact demand impact models
  • Refine the resource strategy that supports the development and execution of plans to get the most from the resource base in terms of performance and cost.
  • Develop a strong virtual community across the organisation, in order to drive improvements in resource management and forecasting. Supporting accurate decision making & prioritization.
  • Deliver a resource management service, with clear visibility of the capacity & capability. Enable the effective delivery of the operating plan, with efficient and timely conflict resolution.
  • Ensure that robust and flexible processes are in place to model changing business requirements and deliver within desired timescales.
  • Monitor, report and explain actual performance and demand and variance to Forecast.
  • Agree and maintain planning parameter data for forecasting and align to Op Plan and business requirements.
  • Identify variations to predicted call patterns as and when they occur to take pre-emptive and corrective measures to resolve.
  • Analyse drivers of demand and implement changes to improve service levels.
  • Challenge processes and techniques governing the workflow between Forecasting, Billing and other areas which may have an effect on contact demand by identifying areas for improvement, communicating recommended resolutions and implementing
