Description
Excellent IT Infrastructure Specialist opportunity within multinational Financial services/Insurance Corp (Dublin) - the role includes the technical design, planning and implementation of IT Infrastructure projects. Candidates must have experience of implementing IT Infrastructure projects in a Financial Services organisation and proven ability in designing, building, testing and implementing IT Infrastructure solutions. You must follow best practice' when designing, building and implementing IT Infrastructure solutions and b able to work with other technical specialists and PM resources in a team environment.
As a key member of the IT infrastructure team, you will play a major role in the day-to-day development of our BCP IT infrastructure in conjunction with our technology partners and Insight. Your role will include the design and build of the BCP IT infrastructure plus issue resolution and customer interaction where needed. You will be personable and approachable and able to comfortably deal with non-IT clients at all levels. You will attend the weekly service and operational meetings and provide senior IT Infrastructure team members with appropriate and timely information. You will act as a coordination point for IT Infrastructure & Security during the life of the BCP Project.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Review business requirements and translate into IT Infrastructure deliverables
- Work closely with Senior IT Infrastructure Specialist to design IT Infrastructure solutions
- Work closely with Senior IT Infrastructure Specialist to implement IT Infrastructure solutions
- Follow best practices when building, configuring, testing and deploying new IT Infrastructure
- Identifies, assesses and minimises project risks to successful project completion
- Support and contribute to IT Infrastructure projects to deliver new and change activities into production
- Serve as solution delivery expert for the design & implementation of assigned areas
