Currently working with a top Investment Bank that is looking for an experienced JAVA/ DB Fixed Income developer. This is a full time role and it's located in NYC. The right candidate will have strong Financial Systems background.

You will be designing and developing Global Fixed Income research Databases for Fixed Income products. You will also be expected to know how to design and develop new service infrastructure to service analytics / market data to multiple applications globally. You will need to be able to design and improve DB infrastructure (Schema, Indices, etc) to meet performance needs. You must be comfortable communicating with front office users and supporting the research strategists. You will be expected to support the fixed income business and for this reason you need to have previous experience in the FI space.

Required Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering with total of 5 years of experience.
  • 3+ years of hands-on Java developer experience in financial industry.
  • 3+ years of hands-on DB2 or Sybase developer experience.
  • Knowledge and experience of Credit or Rates or Securitized Products.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to cope with rapid front-office development and to respond to and address production situations promptly.
  • Ability to communicate and act professionally with IT staff and business clients while under strict deadlines.
  • Perl, Scripting experience is a plus.
