Due to expansion, my Swindon based client is currently looking for an Experienced FPGA design engineer who would be required to work on 3G/4G Remote radio head designs.
The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work on advanced functionality such as digital pre-distortion and peak limiting algorithms as well as experiencing the full product lifecycle.
The role will involve the following:
*Taking responsibility for sections of a design or the "Top-level" design. *Including integration of blocks from other developers.
*Developing blocks of a large design and working as part of a large FPGA team integrating complex functionality.
*Being involved in progress meetings.
*Working at all stages of the development cycle: from the extraction of requirements through to lab test and system integration support
*To be able to work autonomously with little supervision while at the same time also having the ability to work as part of a larger FPGA team.
Experience with VHDL/Verilog design and preferable also higher level DSP tools such as System Generator or DSP Builder.
An understanding of DSP for radio designs and some knowledge of Matlab would be useful.
