Description
My client is looking for a Senior .NET Developer, for a key role in the design and development of their newest learning management platform. This is a greenfield development project using the latest versions of .NET and SQL Server.
This is a key development role requiring very strong technical and communications skills. The Senior .NET Developer will be responsible for design and development of key components of the system, collaborating with a team of business analysts, graphic designers and external developers.
Experience
- 5+ years' hands on industry experience, ideally in ASP.NET development roles.
- Experience in JavaScript, JSON, HTML and CSS, with an emphasis on Ajax development and use of JavaScript frameworks such as jQuery, jQuery UI and Backbone.
- Experience of .NET Frameworks 3.5, 4 and 4.5.
- Experience of ASP.NET MVC 3 or 4 and C#.
- Experience in WCF or RESTful services.
- Experience of Unit Testing and Mocking tools, preferably Test Driven Development.
- Experience of Dependency Injection and Inversion of Control.
- Experience of ORM frameworks, preferably Entity Framework.
- Experience of Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2.
- Experience of Internet Information Services 7.
- Experience of Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 or 2012.
- Experience of Windows Server 2008 R2/2012.
Desirable
- Knowledge of Data and WCF Data Services
- Experience in developing web applications for cross browser, internationalisation and accessibility
- Experience in development of online educational systems is highly desired
