PURPOSE

Under limited review, performs a variety of tasks in support of the engineering staff of the company. As a senior level technician, performs duties with a great deal of autonomy. May be an exempt or nonexempt position. Typically has at least a technical Associates degree or other technical training and at least five years of experience.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The essential functions of the position may include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Assist with budgeting and planning.
  • Managing production data and assisting engineers in maintaining production and economic forecasts, as well as providing technical support for other engineering applications.
  • Maintain a complete and accurate well list of all properties in the PU, including field names, Working and Net Revenue interests, region, special area roll-ups.
  • Creating weekly production executive summary.
  • Generating various daily operations reports as needed.
  • Work with Geo-Tech or GIS team on creating/maintaining field maps.
  • Work with IM and Production Allocation on changes or additions to reports/data within the Production Surveillance tool.
  • Work with Finance on AFE maintenance (workovers/recompletions), and assisting in the evaluation of lease operating statements for engineers.
  • Work with Engineers on data management of procedures, reports, etc.
  • Generate New Well Forms for Production Allocation to facilitate set up in production reporting systems.
  • Update Oil Field Manager (OFM) database as required. Create new projects within OFM for engineers and others as needed.
  • Quality control review of wellbore diagrams created within Wellview or OpenWells post workover/recompletion.
  • Provide support to field staff on Reporting, Production Surveillance, Downtime, Budget, Openwells/Wellview as needed.
  • Perform other tasks that may be assigned.


EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

The knowledge, skills, and abilities required for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • MS Excel, MS Word, and experience with Oil Field Manager.
  • Knowledge of Spotfire a plus.


The minimum training and experience needed for this position include the following:
  • B.S. degree preferred
  • Requires minimum of 3-6 years of experience at an oil and gas company
