Description
As a Sr. Infrastructure Project Manager, you will assume a leadership role in delivering new and enhanced IT capability for the company. The ideal candidate will have recent project management experience leadingDataCenterconsolidations, relocations, and virtualization projects. The ideal candidate for this highly visible position is a demonstrated leader, and will possess a blend of broad IT infrastructure knowledge, ability to lead cross functional teams, strong presentation skills and a working knowledge of Project Management principles and practices.Responsibilities:
- Manage the delivery of large-scale, global infrastructure projects
- Involved in all stages of project management of planning and coordinating a large scale data center consolidation
- Resource oversight of a diverse set of individuals to ensure that they are contributing effectively whilst developing skills and experience
- Liaise with senior and executive management to gather requirements, manage project expectations and provide project status updates
- Manage project budgets
JOB REQUIREMENTS
The successful Senior Infrastructure Project Manager applicant will possess the following requirements (required unless noted otherwise):
- Must have a minimum of 15 years of infrastructure project experience, typically across multiple technology disciplines (DataCenter, Server/Storage, Network, Messaging, etc.)
- Experience with data center consolidation for a large scale organization (has worked with thousands of servers)
- Must possess a high degree of professional confidence and credibility with the presence and communication skills to represent IT related concepts effectively with senior level management
- PMP or PMI certified- Proficiency in Project Management Principles, methods, techniques and tools for the effective management of projects from initiation through to implementation
- Other Qualifications (nice to have): ITIL, Six Sigma, Program Management professional certifications a plus
- Email migration experience from Lotus Notes to Microsoft Exchange a plus
- Must be willing to travel 20% of the time
