I am currently looking for 2 Safety case authors for a large Nuclear project in Scotland.

The project is going to be and initial 9-12 months and would follow by several projects on the back of that in different locations.

The role will be coming live in February with face to face interviews ready for next week for the

The role will include helping planning and producing safety cases for the Nuclear project.

Ideally the client would be looking for candidates with a good knowledge of pre-commisioning safety cases but is not essential.You should already be proficient in a number of the following areas.

*Hazard Identification using techniques such as HAZOP, FMEA, Walkdown
*Independent Nuclear Safety Assessment (INSA)
*Consolidation of Fault Schedules
*Consequence Assessment
*Design Basis Accident Analysis
*Fault Trees, Frequency, Reliability and Probabilistic Safety Assessment
*Specification of Safety Measures including reliability requirements
*BS EN 61508 interpretation and implementation
*Radiation Shielding Assessment
*Dose Uptake Assessment
*Radiological Classification of Areas Assessment
*ALARP Consideration
*Internal and External Hazard Assessment
*Integration of the specialist safety assessments identified below into the safety case:

Criticality Assessment
Conventional Safety Assessment
Conventional Fire Safety Assessment
Nuclear Fire Safety Assessment
Chemotoxic Safety Assessment
Explosion Assessment
DSEAR Assessment
Continuous Human Factors and Ergonomics Assessment
Environmental Assessments
