Our Client is seeking an experienced Technical Support Specialist to assist them developing their client side on site in Southampton. The required Technical Support person will assist other departments regarding the support and maintenance of the clients application issues and 2nd line support.
Key Responsibilities
* Resolve Windows 7 64-bit and associated application issues
* Windows 7 64-bit build support and maintenance
* Working closely with application packagers to aid applications delivery and testing
* Assisting with client patching and monitoring
* To give technical support of all desktop platforms to second line fix across our clients sites within the agreed performance criteria
* Manage incident and work order queue resolution and prioritisation
Additional accountabilities:
* Any other duties as deemed necessary to achieve department goals
Qualifications & Requirements:
Detailed knowledge of Microsoft technologies including:
* Proven practical and up to date experience in service delivery / desktop support
* Solid grounding of Active Directory with working knowledge of group policy / organisational unit structure, security groups, user creation, permissions and general administration
* A deep understanding of Windows 7 Operating System, management and security
* Microsoft Office configuration and deployment including group policy
* Good working knowledge of common desktop software / hardware and drivers
* SCCM experience essential
* Ability to work independently and within a team to resolve problems
* Security Cleared
* Exceptional fault finding skills
