Senior Technical Programme Manager - 6-12 Months - Central LondonSenior Technical Programme Manager required immediately for an international, fast growing technology business in the media and retail sector.
The programme manager will be responsible for managing all of their product development initiatives and integrations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage software development projects, planning, and execution. Gather estimates for tasks and features, schedule deliverables, and track work against committed timelines.
- Ensures project deliverables meet business requirements and are clearly understood by the technical team, execute testing on development efforts, contribute to group learning and best practice development.
- Evaluate and select external teams and development resources to be used for specific projects.
- Participates in project team reviews to review test cases, documentation and other specifications throughout the development phase to ensure all project team members understand and implement functional requirements and user interface plans as intended.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical/business discipline
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or Scrum Master certification essential
- 6+ years experience as a Programme Manager with a technical background as BA/FA/PM/Developer
- Experience running multiple projects and/or product development using the Agile/Scrum development methodology
- Possess general understanding in the areas of application programming, database and system design (Web Services, Java, HTML5, Flex, MySQL)
- Demonstrated ability to develop business process models
- Ability to perform well under pressure, adapt to change and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Self starter with assertive follow through and the ability to work with minimal supervision
- Knowledge of German or other European languages useful.
