Mechanical & Electrical Supervisor- £35K - Surrey
Purpose of Role:
To assist the M&E Management Team in continuous delivery of the customer focussed cost effective and efficient services currently provided by the department.

This includes Planned Maintenance, Reactive Maintenance and other services as required in order to meet the company's contractual and legal obligations.

Engineering : The M&ES will be required to carry our engineering tasks such as planned/PPM/reactive maintenance tasks along with undertaking reactive call outs service visits within their specialist trade or fields of expertise/skill base.

An on call rota is in place and the M&ES will be required to liaise with the "On site" operatives, helpdesk and Contracts Manager (CM) in the execution and delivery of our "Total Service Commitment" 24/7.

Management:The M&ES will assist in the organisation and management of both directly employed staff and specialist subcontractors, to ensure efficient and effective execution of planned and reactive maintenance schedules.

Take an active role in communications, undertaking job chats, team talks etc to ensure all staff and sub contractors are work in accordance with Work Instructions, Safe Working Practices and Method Statements.

Ensuring that the relevant paperwork is completed in an accurate timely manner also ensure reactive tasks are responded to within the requirement of the service level specification.

Ensure planned tasks are undertaken in accordance with the maintenance plan. To survey and preparation of costs for minor improvement works as well as manage through to completion. Maintain stock control systems of the required consumable/spares on each site. Maintain the cleanliness of plant rooms, workshops and storage areas. Work safely, ensuring the safety and well being of yourself, colleagues, customers and visitors.

Operational Accountabilities: Accountable for the completion of standard or non-standard tasks, within the scope of the function Delivers activities to support operational objectives for their role Inputs to planning activities with horizons of typically up to 6 months Makes decisions within parameters set by manager, using job/specialist experience Interacts with client or users around specific work efforts and deliverable support. Ensuring the delivery of Health and Safety policy and standards as well as ensuring that we are meeting and complying with all statutory requirements on each site. Focus of work on the completion of a set of related tasks for a particular section or service with the ability to accommodate new tasks

Financial Accountabilities: Identifies ways to reduce cost Work within a given budget, usually without authorised spend of their own

People Accountabilities: Required to supervise a small team Co-ordinates in conjunction CM and helpdesk the available resource to deal with the work in hand required to assist less experienced staff Undertakes the performance reviews and provides training recommendations reporting directly to the CM.
