For our customer we are looking for a senior project manager for launch/deployment of new common BSS systems & on-line channel B2B/B2C processes in Norway.
Description of project:
Yyy is conducting a BSS Transformation Program across its Nordic operations. During 2013 this program will consist of a number of platform projects developing common system/process solutions and launch projects to implement/integrate these common on-line channel solutions into local country environments. The NO launch project manager shall be responsible for managing the project and securing the implementation of the systems & processes in both the technical organisation and the business organisation. Included within the scope of this project is the decommissioning of Legacy systems - from which a major part of the business case is derived.
Role/tasks:
The project manager will have total responsibility for the delivery of this strategically important project. Within the program this role will report in to the BSS transformation program manager.
Example of tasks for the senior project manager:
Manage scope, team, budget/cost & delivery of all project deliverables, technical and business
Secure resources, assigning roles & responsibilities
Monitor & control project progress and dependencies between it and other projects within the program
Hands-on management of development team working to a lean/agile development process
Requirements for competence:
Extensive experience of deploying on-line channel processes and systems with aggressive schedules
Deep experience of BSS systems is highly desirable
Needs to be a flexible, adaptable project manager with strong & visible leadership skills
Ability to manage and drive a virtual team to deliver
Excellent stakeholder management skills
Experience from international work will be a significant advantage
Experience in product areas such as web-shop, E-commerce, customer self-service will be a distinct advantage
Experience managing the delivery from off-shore development & virtual teams
Strong business understanding to ensure objectives are maintained - but also detail-orientated
Technology: Mandatory to have experience & knowledge from similar IT development projects with a mobile operator. Proven delivery of similarly complex and strategically important projects.
Method: TeliaSonera internal project model (PROMO). Agile/Scrum IT development experience is strongly preferred.
Tool: MS Office, MS Project, Clarity project management and reporting tool
Education: Advanced Project management education is preferred,
Business experience: Minimum 10-15 years significant project management experience, Experience demonstrating successful management & on-time/budget deliver of similar projects in telecommunications/BSS domains
