Positions: Foreman – Pressure Parts (Will report to Supervisor)

Piping Supervisor- Pressure Parts (Will report to Construction Manager)

Responsibilities

  • Control man hours allowed for erection.
  • Update construction schedules and assist with drawing up of construction schedules.
  • Ensure high standards of safety and quality are adhered to.
  • Ability to work unsupervised and lead a team.
  • Report all deviations from the scope of work in writing to the Supervisor and Construction Manager
  • Assist the Supervisor/Construction Manager in running the site in a safe manner  within the constraints of budget and time.
  • The Foreman and Supervisor will need to assist each other in all erection activities on the Boiler.
  • The Supervisor will assist the construction manager in all erection activities on the Boiler.

Requirements:

  • Must be able to read erection/construction drawing fluently
  • Another advantage would be to have previous experience in this type of position on a similar project.

Foreman:

  • A minimum 5-6 years preferably in boiler pressure parts.

Supervisor:

  • A recognized trade in the field either fitting or boiler making with N3 or equivalent NQF level.
  • A minimum of 15 years preferably in boiler pressure parts.
  • Must be quality conscious and must have a good understanding of QIP’s and quality procedures.
