POSITION: Foreman – Welding
Supervisor-Welding
DEPARTMENT: Construction
RESPONSIBILITES:
- Ensure correct WPS are used during welding operation.
- Ensure that the correct consumables are being used according to the process card.
- Responsible for the movement of welding equipment.
- Ensure the welders are working on jobs suitable to their capabilities.
- Responsible for the visual inspection of welds prior to NDE requests being handed in.
- Make sure targets are met.
- Assist the Welding Supervisor with the compilation of the NDE requests .
EXPERIENCE:
- A recognized trade in the field of Welding, with N3 or equivalent NQF level.
- 2-3 years preferably in boiler pressure parts
- Previous experience in this type of position on a similar project would be a bonus.
- Must be able to read erection/construction drawing fluently.
- Must be quality conscious and must have a good understanding of QIP’s and quality procedures.
