Qlikview Developer - Investment Bank - £600/dayMy client a Tier 1 Investment Bank in London, Canary Wharf is looking for a Senior Qlikview Developer to join their team for a rolling 6 month contract (long term view) paying a rate of £600 per day.
Main Duties
* Analysis of technical requirements based on functional specifications and direct interaction with BAs and users
* Design & development of reports and supporting data structures within MSSQL/QlikView
* Produce highly supportable solutions with good documentation
* Write and execute IT unit test cases; produce high quality testing evidence
* Support testing activities including financial product on-boarding, and validating the impact of external business and IT changes
* Manage the release of developed solutions into the production environment
* 3rd Line development-support
Person Requirements
* Strong knowledge of QlikView both as a developer and its infrastructure / configuration
* Knowledge of MSSQL2008 Transact-SQL and security roles
* Good communication skills and style to speak with various analysts, users and stakeholders; and with other IT teams
* Good team player and able to capture and share knowledge
* Experience of both SDLC best practice and Agile project methodologies
* Excellent troubleshooting skills
* Numerate with knowledge of corporate and investment banking products
Preferred Skills
* Source control e.g. SVN, Perforce
* Development and Defect tracking tools e.g. Jira, Quality Center
* Knowledge of risk management or risk calculation would be advantageous
