Link Technologies is currently seeking a Mechanical Process Engineer for contract work in Aiken, SC.

DUTIES:

Provide engineering support services to the Engineering Teams. Engineering support services include engineering analysis, design development and generation of design output documents including but not limited to: Process Flow; Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams; System Descriptions; Mechanical Equipment Lists; Mechanical Equipment, Pipe, and Valve Specifications; Failure Analysis; Accident Analysis; Finite Element Analysis; ASME Code Design and Evaluation; Pipe Stress Analysis; Material Handling Design; Fire Protection Design; HVAC Design; and Vendor Document Reviews.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

BS Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or current registration as a Professional Engineer in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.

Experience/Skills:

Candidate must demonstrate five (5) years design experience in the nuclear or process chemical industry. Candidate must demonstrate knowledge of ASME B31.3 code requirements. Candidate demonstrating experience in 2D Microstation Computer Aided Drafting and Design (CADD) is preferred. Candidate must have the ability to walk down systems in the field.

Work Hours:

A 40 hour work week is scheduled. Our client utilizes various work schedules; including 5/8s (8 hours/day; five days per week), 4/10s (10 hours/day; four days per week), and a 9/80s (9 hours/day, five days on week A and 4 days on week B). Each work day has a 30-minute lunch.

Area Security Access:

A security clearance is not initially required; however, candidate must be capable of obtaining an L clearance if required to perform assigned duties.
