Description
This Data Storage HDS SAN role is responsible for the management and administration of enterprise and modular storage arrays, storage appliances, data protection, backup and recovery systems throughout the organisation.
Lead storage solution architecture and design.
Direct and coordinate/implement complex technical projects and have oversight of development, implementation and standardisation of associated storage initiatives, procedures and techniques.
Deliver quality of service delivered and have influence on decisions related to matters within the scope of your expertise.
Your skills:-
- data storage systems and associated data protection technologies
- design, implementation, operation and tuning of enterprise infrastructure storage solutions
- configuring, administering - HDS and DDN modular and enterprise arrays, Brocade & Cisco SAN Switches, Quantum and StorageTek tape libraries and Commvault data protection and recovery systems
- troubleshooting
- data set migrations (>100,000,000 files and folders), advanced administration, and performance tuning on Windows, Linux and UNIX operation systems
- configuring and administering hierarchical storage management software such as SGI DMF, Oracle SAM-FS, parallel file systems such as GPFS and Lustre and HDS HNAS appliances and storage archive technologies.
