On behalf of our client, a prestigious international Telecommunications company, Manning Global Group is currently looking for a EMS/NMS/OSS Expert for contract positions in the UK & various locations around Europe
Purpose of the job:
• Lead and liaise with customer OSS technical project teams and define the customer requirements
• Prepare the System Testing from our clients Element Management System equipment
• Understands our clients product on SW and HW in detailed level
• Review, plan and support the implementation of the designed solution implementation
• Support the planning and execute the acceptance testing
• Provide support during rollout and operation of the network
Key objectives:
• To provide expert support on project level to support our clients EMS deployment
• Secure EMS deployment with network infrastructure contracts
• To liaise with our clients product teams to enhance future EMS capability
Areas of Responsibility
Under the guidance of the Line Manager, the jobholder is expected to perform (but is not limited to) the following tasks:
• Customer acceptance
• Create acceptance Test Plans with R&D for his supported network element
• Execute the test cases and coordinate the support with R&D support resources
• Coach and facilitate competence build up of new Technical experts entering our clients service organisation
• Provide input for acceptance scope to all appropriate tenders received
• Work with our clients R&D
• Create exceptional customer relationships
Person Specification
• Minimum of 7 years experience in Product Support
• Excellent knowledge in Trouble shooting and Test case planning and execution
• Educated to Degree Level, preferably in Telecoms, Electronics or Computer Science
• Good knowledge of 3GPP NMS Northbound specifications
• Linux knowledge preferably RedHat Enterprise
• Server and RAID product knowledge
• High Availability Middleware concepts
• SNMP and respective trap process
• MS Office Suite (Competent User)
• Fluent in spoken and written English
• Numerate with good report writing skills
