Description
A savvy SQL Data Architect is required by a leading technology team based within a global investment bank over in Canary Wharf. This is a Greenfield project and is one that is set as a multi-year program; the team require a strong SQL data architect who will be able to give direction in terms of the delivery of a risk data platform which will enable risk managers to report from it.You will be part of a team where technology is a key enabler within the program, and spans across the internal business groups as well as the central IT function. This role will give you the opportunity to work with large data volumes as the data platform will allow applications to request and submit or to collect processed data seamlessly along with interacting with reporting data marts for business reporting.
As the SQL data Architect you will also be required you to work closely with the business and the various directors of this project whilst still being fairly hands on the development side, this will require strong data platform experience. The SQL data architect will need to define the road-maps for the business and be able to work in delivering this with the core strategic team.
This is a contract position with market rates.
Essential Skills:
* Strong Data Platform experience
* Strong SQL Data Architecture and Development experience
* Experience of design and architecture with high data volumes
* SQL server 2008 skills are essential
* Experience within projects that are rich in data complexity
* Investment Banking is required
