Oracle Database Administrator - Banking

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Oracle Database Administrator for a leading retail bank within their database team that oversees all the databases (approx 3000) across the entire bank worldwide. This Oracle DBA will be working closely with Architects and Strategy managers to oversee the implementation of new Oracle Technology into the group (including Goldengate) and acting as an Oracle Subject Matter Expert within the team for the Oracle technology stack.
This Oracle DBA will need to be an expert in Oracle Maintenance and Oracle patching and installations, they will be co-ordinating an off-shore team for BAU work and will be responsible for solving the more critical database issues covering the entire Oracle technology stack including RAC, dataguard, ASM, RMAN, Flashback, Grid Control to name a few. This team are currently in the process of moving all of their 10g databases to the latest version of Oracle (11g) therefore anyone with excellent experience with carrying out upgrades would be highly beneficial.
This role will be highly visible within the bank and you will be reporting directly into the department lead, you will get the opportunity to work in a banking environment, where the databases deal with high volumes of data and are highly mission critical to the banks success.
