Real Staffing are recruiting on behalf of a transitioning NHS Primary Care Trust who require an interim Management Accountant to provide additional support to an understaffed area of the finance team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Management Accountant with strong background in the NHS who is looking for a hands-on role in a fast-paced organisation.
Essential Criteria:
- Management Accountant
- Operate at a band 7 level
- Recent NHS experience
- Comprehensive knowledge of NHS commissioning finance
- SBS system use
Preferential Criteria:
- Last position as a management accountant
- Last position within an NHS PCT
- Worked within corporate finance (HR, commissioning, pay and non-pay)
- Good Excel skills (data manipulation, pivot tables, V look-ups)
- FIMS reports
- ESR information processing
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Management Accounting for Corporate Services (HR, commissioning, pay/non-pay)
- Liaising with budget holders and handling queries
- Variance analysis
- Month end budget statements
- Budgeting and forecasting
- Processing journals, accruals and prepayments using Shared Business Services (SBS)
- Data manipulation using Excel
- Employer Service Records (ESR) payroll reports
- FIMS reports
- Reporting to the Finance Manager
- Ad-hoc duties where required
