On behalf of our client, a prestigious international Telecommunications company, Manning Global Group is currently looking for a Mobile Packet Core Services Engineer for a Permanent or Contract Position based in the UK
Job description
• Maintain maximum service availability of MPC elements within the customer network, continuously contribute to Operations process improvements, innovation & service improvements into both BO and FO teams.
• Ensure faults are investigated and resolved within defined SLAs
• Maintain accurate and effective communication with MPC Team, team members and FO teams.
• Engage vendor when necessary to seek faults root cause analysis and fix
Responsibilities
• Provide 3rd level technical support for NSN Mobile Packet core elements (SGSN, GSSN, Charging Gateway, LIG, RADIUS) on an daily and on-call basis within a team, on nodes under vendor support contracts.
• Troubleshoot logged faults in order to accurately isolate the cause and provide working solutions, to liaise with vendors where necessary in order to resolve vendor related issues and monitor progress against customer SLAs.
• Support the implementation and integration of new MPC equipments, and the ongoing maintenance and configuration of existing systems.
• Continue to expand the capacity of the system to keep up with rapid growth
• Work closely with the MPC vendors to ensure fixes and releases are delivered in a low impact manner
• Collaborate closely with the Engineering, Operations and Product Marketing teams to deliver change in a coordinated way, aligned with business objectives
• Continue to develop technical and professional expertise through formal learning and experience on the diverse components of the overall solution
• Support continuous improvement activities of the FO and not limited to job aid review, best operational practice advice, etc…
• Contribute to the MPC design process, technical improvement and Best Practice initiatives to ensure the network maintains 99.999% service level availability.
Technical Experience
• 3G Mobile Packet core O&M experience
• NSN Combi SGSN working experience and O&M expertise
• NSN GGSN IP740, FlexiISN and Flexi NG working experience and O&M expertise
• NSN Charging Gateway working experience and O&M expertise
• Radius preferably Steel Belt working experience and O&M expertise
• IP Ops and NAI-SA KABIRA working experience and O&M expertise
