Leading Global technology organisation has an immediate requirement for a Master Data Management (MDM) Data Modeller for a long term contract role in Galway, Ireland.

You will work with a newly formed team to design and build MDCP Data models, ETL jobs, and reports to meet new and/or enhanced customer requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Participates in the Requirements and Analysis Phases of Projects
  • Assists in interviewing business users to create and/or understand requirements
  • Prepares Requirements >= Data Architecture Mapping Documents
  • Designs and develops prototypes and solutions
  • Communicates Data Architecture to Business, IT & Management
  • Understands Hardware, OS, Databases
  • Researches New Features, Software and Tools
  • Understands New Releases and Migration Impacts
  • Generates Documentation and Training
  • Prepare/oversee/coordinate data model designs
  • Leads Prototyping Efforts
  • Create and Enforce Data Modeling/Development Standards and Processes

Qualifications

  • Strong SQL expertise is mandatory
  • 5+ years in Enterprise Data Modeling in reporting solutions
  • Strong Data Modeling with ERwin OR Embarcadero
  • Must have worked in large Database environments
  • Must be familiar with 24x7 environments
  • Must be able to think 'outside the box' and be innovative and help out where necessary
  • Must be able to work in a geographically dispersed team environment
  • Must be able to multi-task(ie work on multiple projects at same time)
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (eg, Computer Science, Business), or equivalent experience.

Experience with relational database technology such as SQL Server, Oracle, Teradata, DB2, Informix, or Sybase
