Leading Global technology organisation has an immediate requirement for a Master Data Management (MDM) Developer for a long term contract role in Galway, Ireland.
You will be responsible for the development and implementation of high performance code and services.(SQL, Java, Tibco). Responsibilities encompass reviewing code, design and documented requirements and suggesting further changes for continuous improvement of the team's final deliverable.
Responsibilities
- Create/modify mock-ups, high level design documents that meet development standards and business requirements (Ex: Visio diagrams, UML etc.).
- Validate, verify, and manipulate syntax and database solutions developed by the team to meet business needs/requirements before delivering it to the business users.
- Participate in model and solution construction activities to ensure architectural and operational requirements are fully met.
- Work with the team, and independently to develop/support reporting and database solutions as per discussion with business users, fellow technical leads, documented requirements and design documents.
- Engage fully with team to build relationships with business users, database/software solution users, peers and management.
- Adept knowledge of data structures (Arrays, Vectors, Lists, Trees, and Queues etc.), control structures (Loops, Conditional etc.), and modular programming (Functions, Procedures, Variables etc.) is a also recommended.
- Participate in the design, life cycle management, and total cost of ownership of platforms and applications services.
Qualifications
- Strong SQL expertise is mandatory
- Experience in Business Intelligence solutions development.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (eg, Computer Science, Business), or equivalent experience.
- Experience with relational database technology such as SQL Server and Oracle.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Proven experience in relational database management systems, this includes:
- Tables - Primary-Keys/Hash-Keys, Attributes etc.
- SQL - Joins - Inner/Outer, Right/Left, Grouping, Sorting, Filtering etc.
- Experience with Datawarehouse design and architecture
- Experience with ETL Tools (Informatica, DataStage, Tibco)
- Excellent communication and organizational skills written and oral (ability to express and understand complex technical concepts in BI domains)
- Excellent analytical skills with ability to diagnose complex technical problems to root cause; ability to summarize prognosis and impacts as appropriate to all levels.
