Highly successful & growing Risk team in large Investment Bank looking for a skilled developer with previous project lead experience.

The team is looking to expand in preparation for upcoming projects in the Intraday Risk space.

Candidates must have the following skills to apply:

OO Development skills - Core Java development

System design experience using Java development - candidates must have experience designing systems and influencing how the system will be shaped going forward.

Project Leadership - you must have had experience working to project deadlines and managing projects from inception to completion.

Mentoring ability - candidates should be in a position to mentor junior developers in the team with regard to development best practice.

Business knowledge - you should have previous experience gathering requirements from the business, ideally from Risk Managers or members of the front office.

Academics - you must have a solid academic record with the equivalent to a 2.1 or above from a reputable university.

This team offers exposure to the front and middle office including traders and quants.

Please note this is a hands on Java Development role so you will be tested heavily on your code quality and best practices. You will also be expected to write out Java syntax onto the whiteboard in the interview.
