One of ACT's high profile Federal Government departments require an experienced Senior Business Analyst to provide a full range of business analysis activities and delivering BA artifacts on a major project.

Your responsibilities will include (but won't be limited to) the following:
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders within the department such as relevant business areas, IT development and support teams and others;
  • Undertake business analysis tasks such as organising and conducting stakeholder workshops, collecting user requirements, and converting them into detailed functional and non-functional requirements, writing Use Cases, data specifications and test cases if required;
  • Store and update BA artifacts using Sparx Enterprise Architect (EA);
  • Ensure that the BA artifacts are of high standard and satisfy quality criteria as per TSG's Application Development Quality Framework (ADQF); and
  • Take part in development of testing strategies, test scripts and provide assistance with testing if needed.
To be successful for this role you will need to meet the following criteria;
  • Demonstrable skills and experience as a Senior Business Analyst on medium to large IT application development project/s (4+ years) including:
    • a strong understanding of System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and different approaches, eg. Waterfall, Iterative, Scrum etc.; and
    • familiarity with Sparx EA
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to effectively liaise with technical and non-technical staff.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability whilst maintaining strong focus on the overall project delivery.
