CREATIVE STUDIO SEEKS TALENTED AND RELIABLE WEB DESIGNER FOR ONGOING CONTRACT WORK.

Razorbraille Creative Inc. is looking for a very talented WEB DESIGNER to join our growing team of full-time, contract and freelance professionals. If all goes well, you can expect ongoing work.

You will be working on high-end, high-visibility projects for some very interesting clients, mostly in broadcasting and media. Pay to be negotiated based on your skills and experience. We’re looking for a reliable and talented designer with whom we can work frequently, indefinitely, confidently.

THE DREAM CANDIDATE:

Thrives on the creative and problem-solving nature of interactive development.

Brings a fun and refined web design sensibility to the table. We’re talking about someone who can wrap his/her head around the complexity of a client’s brand and the requirements of a project and deliver engaging, nuanced designs that wow.

Has a strong understanding of web interface design – proportion, typography, colour – all that stuff.

Is a true design geek. Maybe you’ve been a designer for years, maybe studied it in school, maybe you’re a voracious surfer of design sites, maybe you’re just an aesthete with high standards. But you need to bring ideas and an opinion.

Is committed to rock solid, standards compliant HTML / CSS and understands the evolution to HTML 5.

Knows a thing or two about popular social networks and current best practices for integrating share tools into websites.

Is available to work during Toronto business hours, and for extended production periods, on multiple projects.

Is an efficient multi-tasker and a successful time-manager.

Has his/her own hardware/software/connectivity ready to go.

Is at the top of his/her game and is ready for the liberating and exciting world of freelance interactive production.

Is a reliable, stable, mature supplier, who can meet deadlines & deliver work that exceeds expectations, without excuses or drama.

IT WOULD BE ESPECIALLY NICE IF THE CANDIDATE:

Not only knows what ‘responsive web design’ means, but can actually build sites using flexible grids and media queries.

Can implement and tweak JQuery plugins for zazzy interactive magic.

Is a tenth-level Wordpress/Drupal/PHP ninja.

Lives in Toronto. Or – failing that – the Eastern time zone.

Is otherwise uncommitted. We don’t want to battle other projects/engagements for your time.
