Description
A major public sector company based in West Yorkshire is currently on the market for an experienced Java Developer for an ongoing project working with digital data. They are keen to appoint a contractor for a six month period at the first instance, although it is expected that there will be further projects planned.You will be designing and developing software tools and work-flows. Whilst implementing this software tools, you will be communicating with the other development teams within the company. This is an interesting and challenging piece of work.
Communication skills are a must for this role, it will often be user facing and will require you to elicit requirements on a consistent basis..
You must have a proven track record in:
- Strong understanding of JAVA methodology and process
- XML
- Experience of scripting languages such as Python
- Experience of structured software development methodologies
- TDD & Unit Testing experience
