Position Title: IT Auditor
Duration: 6 month contract
Location: Birmingham, AL
Synergis, recognized by Staffing Industry Report as one of the fastest growing private IT staffing companies in the US, is seeking an IT AUDITOR FOR A 6 MONTH CONTRACT POSITION IN BIRMINGHAM AL.
IT Auditor Responsibilities:
- This position assists Information Technology in managing the process of identifying, documenting and testing controls to ensure compliance with departmental procedures and state and federal regulations
- Audits/tests new and existing information systems applications to ensure that appropriate controls exist, That processing is efficient and accurate and that systems and procedures are in compliance with corporate standards
- Performs compliance testing to ensure the safety of Information Technology assets and to protect systems from intentional or inadvertent access or destruction
Required Skills:
- Two+ years' experience in auditing standards SAS70, SOC1, DISA/STIG.
- Sarbanes-Oxley knowledge
- Knowledge of data processing design, control, security and recovery including basic understanding of computer logic, data management and application planning required
- Experience with midrange-systems AIX, UNIX, Linux
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
- Must have above average verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with IT and the business users
- Must prioritize work effectively and ensure follow-up and completion of tasks
