A leading utilities firm located on the Eastern Seaboard of Australia requires a Solutions Centre Analyst to undertake high level analysis of complex problems and develops and/or recommends corrective action, identifies trends in related problems and identifies and resolves the root cause.

Role Responsibilities:
  • Manage data reliability and integrity of the various applications
  • Populate the knowledge centre system
  • Problem management - root cause analysis
  • Manage database changes
  • Design database queries/reports
  • Approve change requests/change control
  • Prepare MTL documentation
  • Conduct analysis of incidents to provide solutions or escalate to Solutions Centre Manager as appropriate
  • Document problems and check progress
  • Responds to requests for solutions by providing information to enable problem resolution and promptly allocates unresolved
    problems as appropriate.
  • When directed by Service Delivery Manager - Solutions Centre
    review system incidents and issues and identify possible
    enhancements and changes to affected applications to reduce
    future errors.
  • Highlight recommendations/enhancements to the Service Delivery
    Manager - Solutions Centre. 
  • Conduct periodic audits of system users and proactively manage issues with user security and access through agreed processes.
  • Manage all application environments to include for example Development, Testing and Production.
Required skills:
  • Completed a recognised training qualification for IT(eg: Dip IT or MCSE)
  • Gained experience as a competent administrator of Front End application management and Back End server environments.
  • Has a high level of communication skills and takes an analytical approach to problem solving.
  • Knowledge of IT and generic software tools and deeper knowledge and
    understanding of multiple software applications used within own organisation.
  • Experience and knowledge in the management of SQL & Oracle databases with efficient.
  • Capability to query and configure databases and associated applications.
  • A solid understanding of ITIL methodologies used by Aurora for managing and implementing change to our application and server environments.
  • Accreditation in ITIL V2 or V3 Foundation.

An excellent daily rate is on offer for the successful candidate.
