Description
We are seeking a Cost Analyst for a 5 month contract position in Columbus, GA.
Skills:
- Validate and load product costing, compare actual costs to estimates and analyzes variances.
- Maintain the system with integrity and standardization, track and submit change approvals.
- Identify and execute action items to resolve reconciliation variances timely.
- Support production cost tracking including analysis and reporting.
- Provide a monthly Product Cost Reporting package including supporting analysis.
- Calculate and book month-end accounting entries.
- Work closely with various functions supporting Financial Cost Reduction initiatives.
- Perform ad hoc analysis as needed.
Preferred Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Two to three years of experience in a similar finance role.
- Strong financial and analytical skills gained through experience or through a formal Accountancy qualification.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Access.

Responsibilities:
The role involves providing inventory and cost accounting analysis relating to all plant manufacturing activity. This includes product cost accounting and reporting, manufacturing inventory supportive analysis, executing internal controls for costing and inventory movement, balance sheet reconciliation and issue resolution along with special operations projects when necessary.
