Design, implementation and test of modern motion control systems for robotic applications in nuclear power plants and products. Provide follow-on support and service of installed systems.
Participate in the architecture, design and implementation of new software-based motion control systems.
Coordinate with electrical engineering on the interfacing of motion control systems.
Produce a design and implementation that meets customer requirements.
Prepare and present technical concepts, designs and reviews with the end-customer.
Interface with motion controls vendors on technical support issues.
Analyze, develop and write Software Requirements and Design Specifications for new and re-engineered control systems.
Experience developing motion control software in EPAS-4 and/or Schneider Electric's SoMachine Motion for PacDrive iSH (C600), PacDrive3 (LMC600C) on Sercos II and III networks.
5+ years of experience in software-based motion control architecture, design and implementation.
Excellent English written and verbal communications skills.
Knowledge of IEC 62138 software development life cycle, and experience developing software under a compliant program.
Completed Schneider Electric's SoMachine Motion training.
Experience developing motion control software in CoDeSys V2.x, V3.x.
Previous experience in providing services or products to the nuclear power industry.
Involvement with on-site acceptance and commissioning of motion control products, with customer interface.
Electrical Engineering degree, P Eng a great asset.
