Engineering Project Manager

£34k - £36k + £5k car allowance, bonus and benefits

2 year FTC with the possibility for extension

We are upgrading our Low Voltage (LV) system within our Bexhill on Sea head office and utilising the services of a contractor to do so. We are now looking for a Project Manager to oversee and deliver the project on time and within budget. You will manage the project schedule; ensure health and safety compliance and represent Hastings at any meetings relating to the project.

As Engineering Project Manager your responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing an extensive building infrastructure refurbishment
  • Supervising the Project Engineer and electrical installation team
  • Coordinating sub-contractors for associated works
  • Liaising with the business to ensure that the project runs to agreed schedule
  • Managing files for the project, ensuring charge paperwork and contract protocols are completed
  • Liaising with planning authorities for permissions and building regulations approval as necessary
  • Inputting budget data circulating as required

As Engineering Project Manager your experience and skills will include:

  • Previous knowledge of CDM, electrical safety to 17th edition and H&S legislation relating to design and build of electrical projects
  • Previous experience from within a similar project management role
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan and meet deadlines
  • Proactive with the ability to communicate proactively with the business
  • The flexibility to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • The ability to think creatively and use sound judgment when making business decisions
  • Proven people management skills
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
