Quality Engineer (Nuclear)

Key Responsibilities:

* Control of supplier approvals in accordance with ISO 9001, SABRe and GS3001 requirements
* Communication of changes to approvals with the rest of the team
* Control of Customer documents and specifications and communicating when revision changes apply including:
o Management of GS3001 and SABRe updates through Supplier Manager on-line
o Management of materials and consumables through non-metallic database
* Creation, submittal and control of manufacturing process plans, quality plans and procedures to the customer
* Management and control of ?restricted? documentation
* Management of class A materials and the retention of samples
* Carry out, after training and approval, cleanliness swab testing to finished product
* Management of cleanliness procedures to ensure approval is maintained
* Take active part in daily production meetings and completing actions
* Completion of contract review at order stage
* Working closely with Customer quality representatives, completing quality forms, including PIR (internal and external), Form 3?s and ensuring right first time release of product
* Be capable of completing First Article Inspection Reports
* Attending pre-contract review meetings with the Customer
* Responding to Customer & supplier queries in a timely manner
* Raising and controlling of Customer concessions
* Be capable of route cause analysis through 5-why process etc
* Be conversant with gauge R & R process
* Be conversant with CMM reports for analysis and review
* Carry out internal audits in line with the QMS
* Have experience with implementing continuous improvement programmes
* Be able to complete corrective action requests and deal with Customers on a regular basis
* Final release of product to the Customer, collating and checking of all certification in accordance with customer purchase order & specifications.
* Collation and final check of documentation packs ready for final release
* Appraisal & control of supplier certification
* Collate quality data and analyse for trends in order to assist with driving continuous improvement throughout the business
* Training of personnel regarding company procedures/processes and customer requirements as required
* Be fully committed to reducing the overall cost of quality within the business
* Compile and assist in the quality response to nuclear tenders and pre-qualifications
