STRESS ENGINEERS are required for a multinational Aerospace Engineering firm to work on a contract basis in Germany. Our client is at the forefront of providing high technology engineering services to the Aerospace sector focusing on aerostructure, mechanical systems, electronic systems and more. Their upcoming projects will include the A380 and A400M and Stress Engineers with static calculation and FEA experience will be needed for long term placements, potentially up until 2015. The planned start date for these opportunities will be April 2013 and permanent candidates with notice periods as well as contractors are asked to apply. These opportunities can offer project experience for 2 years or longer so if you like a challenge and stability in a role please get in touch.

Job description:

* Static calculations for justification of Allowable Damage Limits and repairs as per Structural Repair Manuals (SRM) for SA, LR, A380 and A400M program
* Autonomous application of appropriate justification methods
* Detailed local FE Analyses (linear)
* Writing of static justification reports
* Stress Engineering

Your CV must show the following:

* Proven background as a Stress Engineer within the Aerospace sector
* Ideally a minimum 5 years experience
* At least 3 years experience of PATRAN and NASTRAN
* HAND CALCULATIONS and STATIC Engineering experience including the ability to create Static / Stress reports
* ASSACOS or ISSY or ISAMI (Airbus tools)
* ACSA or ASSIST are welcome additions
* FEA experience, more than 3 years
* Linear static mechanical analysis (DFEM)
* Knowledge of AIRBUS methods and procedures
* Excel, VBA, Word
* English language skills (verbal and written)
* German is desirable but not essential
