Role: Senior Storage Administrator.
Location: Just South of Dublin City Centre.
Salary: €65,000 - €75,000 + Benefits.
I have an opportunity for a Senior Storage Administrator to join a team of 18.
The company is based just outside Dublin City Centre, and hosts one of the biggest
storage footprints in Ireland. They need someone who is willing to challenge
themselves and step outside the admin role and work on the other technologies
involved such as, archiving. This ensure fluidity and efficiency within the team.
The team is made up of all levels of Storage experience from Junior to senior level.
As in any role there is the interesting work, and the work that just has to be done.
The culture of the team is simple: everyone gets their fair share of each, whether
this is a senior manager or a junior admin (within reason of course). The members
of the team are highly skilled, as excellent training and support is provided, for
the products that they use. This means that you will not only get the chance to work
with some of the brightest storage minds in the industry, but you will also get to
work with the best up and coming storage professionals in the business. You must be
willing to share your knowledge and experience with the team, and develop others.

Right so, what you'll be doing:
- You will maintain and develop strong relationships with the other Infrastructure Teams,
IT areas and business colleagues.
- You will deliver the Storage infrastructure to the level required for the business
- Deliver Storage related projects in a timely and cost effective manner.
- You must ensure that regulatory and industry standards are met, by managing and keeping
up to date with the Storage infrastructure.
- You will have to liaise with 3rd Party suppliers and vendors, this is to ensure value for
money, and this ensures that service levels are maintained.
- You must insure Best in Class platform is delivered to the business, this must be done
with minimal business impact, and create something that your competitors will respect.
- You may need to provide consultancy services to enable decision making.
Experience we need to see:
- 4+ years experience in a storage role
- Switch Fabrics- Cisco, Brocade ( just examples )
- Storage arrays
- Enterprise Class Backup experience- NetBackup, Commvalut ( examples )
Experience we would like to see:
- Archive - Hp Autonomy, Enterprise Vault Symantec
- Experience working on other layers, eg. Host.
- Exposure to Linux or Unix
- Exposure to Virtualisation
