My exclusive client are looking to recruit an Outage Manager to represent them on one of the UK's biggest Power Plants with a view to an immediate start.An initial 6 month contract is being offered here with a very competitive rate of pay available.
Key Accountabilities Include:
Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers, insurers and external bodies and assist in the development of the business unit plans Action Plans.
Identifying and managing changes to the project's scope, ensuring that impact assessments are undertaken, that appropriate authorisation is secured and that adjustments to plans are made and communicated to all stakeholders.
Regular communication of key business issues and more local team-specific information through weekly / monthly briefings and / or team meetings whilst managing and maintaining the health, safety and welfare of the team and contractors.
Principle accountability for outage delivery (scope, risk, HSE, time, cost, quality)
Skills & Expertise:
- A degree level qualification in engineering or equivalent.
- Corporate membership of a relevant professional institution
- Self motivated with a 'can-do' attitude.
- Resilient if under pressure.
- Stakeholder management skills
- Experience in the management of large scale/scope projects in a process industry.
- Proven leadership, people management and motivation of large groups of people.
- Ability to develop and deliver targets and objectives
- Record of leading change successfully.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Detailed understanding of commercial aspects of financial and contract management
- Proven ability to engage and influence across all levels of an organisation.
- NEBOSH or IOSH Certificate in health and safety or similar.
- Appreciation of CDM (Construction, Design and Management Regulations)
