Position Description:

As a Responsive Web Design (RWD) Software Developer, selected candidates will be working across the stack to build rich and innovative web applications and products (responsive web design (RWD), social media, HTML5, etc.) in a fast-paced, agile and team-oriented environment. Top candidates will have experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, Backbone.js, Git, WordPress, Interwoven TeamSite (CMS), Twitter/Google/Facebook APIs and PHP on the Back End.

Daily responsibilities will include:

  • Developing, integrating, testing, deploying, and supporting systems, applications, and processes that deliver web content to the browsers on desktop and connected devices.
  • Use Responsive Web Design (RWD) techniques in web development: review mocks, bring them to life on desktop and connected devices
  • Develop interactive components using JavaScript and jQuery, integrate with internal tools, frameworks and services as well as external APIs
  • Collaborate with multiple cross-functional teams of developers, product and project managers, editors and designers

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years experience building multi-platform web sites using Responsive Web Design/RWD (media queries, progressive enhancement, feature detection and etc.)
  • 3-5 years of experience with HTML/CSS/JavaScript
  • 2+ years of experience with HTML5/CSS3
  • Expert knowledge of jQuery
  • Experience with Backbone.js, async loaders like LABjs or RequireJS
  • Experience with CSS generators like SASS/LESS
  • Experience working with 3rd party content and APIs, eg Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest & etc.
  • Experience with Web Performance Optimization (WPO)
  • Experience using Git in team environment
