Found in the LEA of Wolverhampton, This thriving secondary school is seeking a PURE Mathematics Graduate to work within their improving Maths department as soon as possible. This is a full time role and will last until the end of the academic year.

The school were previously in special measures and due the excellent leadership and management the school have successful come out of special measures and are currently producing good results. The Head of Department would like the Maths division to be structured and water tight so all pupils achieve well and succeed, as Maths is a vital part to continuing on to a successful future. The current exams results are 57% 5 A*-C grades including English and Maths 40% but year on year they have improved meaning all pupils are succeeding and making excellent progress.

The newly appointed Maths Teaching Assistant will need to be patient, resilient and not afraid of a challenge. This is perfect experience before committing to your PGCE. You will have access to all of the facilities so you can develop your teaching style, classroom manner and behavioural strategies. There are behavioural issues but the school have a great behavioural policy in place which has worked and they have seen a reduction in behavioural issues in class and in the playing fields.
