We are currently seeking Financial Planning Analyst for a 5 month contract role in Columbus, GA

Skills:

- Provide weekly and monthly financial reporting package for management review.
- Co-ordinate manufacturing variance tracking including analysis and reporting.
- Conduct pre-accounting close analysis of Operations Profit and Loss Statements, resolving all issues in a timely manner.
- Calculate and book month-end accounting entries.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial analysis and commentary.
- Work closely with various functions supporting financial Cost Reduction initiatives.
- Participate in monthly outlook process, annual and capital plan process.
- Internal Controls and Sarbanes Oxley 404 compliance.
- Implementation and continuous improvement of financial processes and practices.
- Ad hoc projects and analysis as required. Preferred Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Three to five years of experience in a similar finance role.
- Strong financial and analytical skills gained through experience or through a formal Accountancy qualification.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities:

This role works closely with the plant Operations, Procurement and Global Cost Reduction teams to ensure controls are in place for the accurate reporting of financials, strong control environment, and support for cost reduction initiatives in all aspects of product cost reporting and analysis. Key Areas of Responsibility The role involves providing financial analysis relating to all plant manufacturing activity. This includes inventory management reporting and supportive analysis, monthly outlook and annual plan, executing internal controls for costing and inventory movement, issue resolution along with special operations projects when necessary.
